Privacy & Regional Preferences
How country suggestions, local preferences, browser processing and server-assisted tools work on Cyclone Tools.

Country suggestions from your connection
Your browser asks our own region endpoint for a country-level suggestion. Our server looks up the connection's IP address in a locally stored DB-IP Lite country database; it does not send your IP address to an external geolocation service. The response contains a country code, source and database month. It does not return your IP, city or precise location. No GPS permission is requested.
VPNs, travel and network routing can change the suggested country. The suggestion is not evidence of citizenship or tax residence. You can change it in the financial tools.
Preferences on this device
When you choose a country or currency, the site can remember that choice in your browser's local storage. Existing language, theme and bookmark preferences also stay in this browser. A saved manual choice takes priority over IP suggestions. Use the regional reset control to return to automatic suggestions, or clear site data in your browser to remove local preferences.
Files, financial inputs and reference data
Financial calculations run in your browser; the country lookup does not include your income, loan amount or deductions. Browser-based image and text utilities process their inputs locally. Some tools load libraries or processing models from external services. The currency converter requests published reference rates; the displayed amount is calculated in your browser. These services receive ordinary connection metadata when contacted.
Server-assisted video downloads
The video downloader sends the video URL and selected quality to our backend. The backend contacts the video provider and temporarily stores generated downloads; the configured artifact lifetime is one hour. It may be unavailable when the provider blocks automated access. This server workflow is distinct from tools that process files locally.
Operational processing and external links
Our hosting and network providers handle connection metadata needed to serve requests. The download service uses transient client identifiers for rate limiting. Country lookup does not create a visitor-location history, and API access logging is disabled. Official tax-source and attribution links lead to other sites, whose own privacy policies apply.
Self-hosted website analytics
We use our own Umami instance at umami.cyclonenostro.top to understand page visits, referrals and coarse browser/device statistics. The tracking integration does not send financial form values, calculated income or loan amounts, or uploaded files. Session recording is disabled. Build previews and ordinary automated verification browsers are excluded from tracking.
Country-data attribution
IP Geolocation by DB-IP, Lite country database, CC BY 4.0. We refresh the local data periodically and show an unavailable state when a reliable lookup cannot be made.
